So I'm up in the air about the hydra 26 or hydra 52 I want to put the right light on the tank. I want to do a mixed reef but want to do sps also so I'm wondering which one to select. I do not want to burn up corals and I'm still kinda new to this. I have the ai primes right now but I'm stuck with which one I choose.

I think my friend @jsker has the same tank and uses the 26's. Maybe he'll chime in and offer some insight.

I have the 26hd's over my for the past 2.5 years and really like how my corals look and grow. I really like using the lunar mode so that when the moon is up I can see the tank after my lights turn off.

I will aslo be running hydra 26's hd on my 144. I can't comment how well they work as of yet...I haven't filled the tank or decided how I want to mount them. Still sitting new in the box, but I'm excited to see them in action! I can say the box looks nice! :rolleyes:

Why the air Stones and i like the way it look so you could grow sps if you wanted. And I could get a hippo if I wanted. Is that a trigger fish?

I am treating for Cyano and one need to add air to the system when treating. The hippo will have to be rehomed one day also with the sailfin tang. The trigger is a niger trigger, and reef safe.

Good idea, let me put it to a vote:)

In my signature I have a link to by build for the 72.

@jsker

Is your tank two years old, with the air stone in it or was that a pic of when it was a new tank? Do to the fact I just received three of the new mitras ghl 7200 lights for my 400 I’m curious to see what the puck style lights can do? I have had tremendous luck with the current marine pros but they are a 72 inch strip light with 60 degree lens. I run them on the lowest setting and have great color and growth. It would be nice to see how high you run these and the duration time as well. I really like the hanging bar, is it home made? I still need to figure out how to hang my mitras. I’m worried that because they have to be off the tank, they won’t have as much par and that if I’m sitting on my couch, and look over they are going to blind me. Has this happened with your hydras? Sorry hope this doesn’t high jack the op intent. Just never used puck style leds for more than a month.

Your fine I high jack people stuff all the time we will call it pay back [emoji27]
