What I got and Where I place it?

I was gifted this "Season Greetings" coral and I put it in my tank. Its directly in the center and middle of tank... I'd say moderate flow. It's been there about 3 weeks. I'm not sure what type of coral it is and if I put it in the right spot. Could someone assist?

It's kinda hard to tell from the picture but I think it's a meteor shower cyphastrea. If it is it's a lower light, high flow coral. I don't have any cyphastrea so I don't know much my opinion on placement matters.

Probably a montipora, would need a better image. If it is, then yeah high to moderate flow and light.

Looks like it might be a cyphastrea of some sort. Google pictures of those nd see if any match. (meteor shower?)

If so, they are a lower light encrusting coral. So low light, medium flow.

Yep I just noticed this part so it's probably a seasons greeting montipora which would then be higher light.

If it is happy where it's at then why move it to another location?

No desire to move it. Just wanna make sure I placed it in good location. Never had a montipora so not sure whether its happy or not.

Oh and yes you were right it's a montipora

As long as you see those red polyps it's happy. Make sure your parameters dont fluctuate too much and you should be set.
