Typically if it reacts to light it’s a tunicate. You may also see it “breathe”, it is will intake water through one opening an expel it from another.

Yes, they just usually “exist”. No movement. Tunicates have a little more life to them.

Both the pink and pale blue things look like sponges to me (not tunicates).
