Hi All,
I have an AI Prime over a 45cm mixed reef. I want to try a new light schedule as mine was a random made up one from when i first got my light. I'm set on trying the AB+ (BRS version for AI Prime) but with higher whites.
I plan to set it at a certain intensity and then increase it by 1% a day to acclimate my corals and observe how they go.

My question is:
At what % should i start the higher channels at like UV, purple and blues?
Is increasing it 1% a day ok oe should i go another way about acclimating?
Below is a pic of my current schedule and the second is ghe schedule I want (with whites at probably 30%).
Thanks :)

Acclimation is always a good thing! Your corals will let you know what’s right and if you need to adjust. Just don’t vary your lighting too abruptly or you run the risk of stressing your corals. Their is really no right or wrong answer carved in stone...again, just monitor your corals.

I would start at 30% and go up 5% every week or 2 until you reach levels your coral like.

Thanks guys :) stupid question but will low light starve my sps though?

Typically they will brown out,as long as params are stable they shouldn't stn.

Parameters have dropped as consumption has increased and over the xmas period I havent tested as much so slowly getting them up with 5ppm cal a day and 0.1dkh a day. May change the lighting once that's settled. If they brown out they should colour up ahain once th light intensity is alright?
