I'm sad to say that after 4+ years it's time to part with my amazing Bird Wrasses. They are fat, healthy, beautiful, and tame (they eat out of your hand). I will only sell the pair together. The question is, how much should I sell the pair for? They are approximately 8" from nose to tail. I've included photos of the pair I took yesterday. Let me know what you think.

Male (He is outlined in light blue):

Female (Amazing orange/red blush around her face and light green and purple highlights on the bottom back fin):

If it helps, our large green bird wrasse(6") go for 99 each. They're a pretty pair, I'd say you could get 250-300 for them easy.
Thx for the info.. it is very helpful.

i agree. if i was on the market id totally pay 300.

ps gorgeous fish and tank
Thx for the kind words. The male is my wife's favorite fish. I am sad to sell them.. they are very active and amusing to watch.

To kind. Its 80 gallons... I am setting up a 300 gallon right now. :)
putting my 90 in the dumpster then lol. how on earth did you pack that much fish and coral into that and not have it look crowded/cramped AT ALL.

I legit thought this was the 300 as I had just glanced at your post history

The fish all get along with no issues except the Acanthurus tangs. They get a little feisty at feeding time.

There are lots of open spaces for the fish to swim that are not visible in the video.

what are the dimensions of it? it seems endless

Love the video. Favorite thing is that big maze brain front and center! Definitely looks a little tight, but everyone looks super happy so can't knock it lol Gorgeous tank, looking forward to the 300.

The current tank has a 24" x 36" footprint. The new tank is 72" x 36" and taller... So about 3 of my current tanks. :). I have been out of room for a long time.

I have the rock for the 300 cycling in a pond down stairs.

Reefs in the real world are very populated with lots of fish.. As long as everyon has a place to call home and there is enough food.. it works out.. :) Plus they will have a lot more room soon!

In the 10+ years I've had this tank up, I have not lost a single fish to violence or disease. O..... Except 2 firefish that the femail birdwrasse slurped up in less then 5 seconds.. like noodles.. I had no idea they would eat long skinny fish like that. It was horrifying. I learned my lesson, and the bird wrasse had an expensive meal.

And there were a few blue chromis but that was before I knew that they cul their own population regarless of how much you feed them. Again, I learned my lesson, only keep 4 blue chromis in a 24" x 36" footprint.

That green Lobo was the first coral I bought for this tank. It started out around 3" - 4".. It's almost 12" now. I got the orang/red Lobo about a month ago. I have another smaller green and purple Lobo to the right... I bought it the same day I got the green one.

They grow painfully slow.

Just basing it off the price I last paid for one of these (which was probably 15 years ago), and I’m pretty sure it was $20. So I put $50. But judging by what other people are saying they’re worth, I think I’m probably way off base.

That would be a deal. :)
