Newbie question regarding dosing. I'm currently dosing ESV A and B along with NoPox. I've always thought that it was better to dose "low and slow" to avoid precipitation, sudden changes in tank chemistry, etc. But I'm also noticing that my Calcium solution is starting to dry / crystallize on the dosing tube. Is it possible to be dosing too slowly?

As a starting point for my question how do you feel about dosing at 1ml / 2 seconds?

Thanks in advance?

You should start by measuring your tanks consumption rate over 5 days and then average it out to find your daily requirements and dose based on your products specific directions.

This will change over time with the growth of coraline and addition/growth and removal of corals.

As for the crystalization, maybe you dont even need to dose...if your dosing rate is that low.

My consumption is around 5 ml/day. In the past I was dosing at 1ml/min which is why I think I was getting crystals forming in the tube. Thinking of dosing 5ml in 5 seconds.

I dose at 1.25ml/min @ 2 min intervals with no issues.

My alk tube forms crystalization on the tip thats not avoidable without doing the ATO mod.

Thanks. I’ve decided that since I dose small daily volumes that I would increase the speed. Now dosing at 0.5-1 ml / min
