I did not read any of the links provided before this, but I wanted to give my suggestions from experience with this. I will help you guys put this together and act as a neutral party to setup the random trading draw. If you guys are interested in doing a swap type trading event I have the following suggestions.
1. Guidelines are golden
- Make sure to setup the following info as a criteria before anyone enters the agreement.
-- 1). Number of polyps or coral size considered as part of the trade. Minimum # of polyps, inches per SPS/LPS or whatever. IMO you have to setup the trade for a certain type of coral and if you draw someone who wants to do something more than that is up to the users.
-- 2). Agreed shipping time line. If it is two days or next day, it doesn't matter, you just need to agree on a bare minimum. Keep in mind that a SPS user will require 1 day delivery vs a zoa trader who can maximize a 2 day delivery.
-- 3). Sign up deadline. This is a must, and sense we have users from various timeliness we must agree on one in particular.
2. Trade for trade is best:
-- 1). In my experience it is better to trade with one partner than to deal with the next person in line.
3. Communication with Parties:
-- 1). This is where this type of trading makes sense because you are dealing directly with the person you purchased from and you can deal with any issues directly.
-- 2). Major issues with results will be dealt with between parties before going public. This means that you will take every possible measure to get the issue resolved before coming to me to resolve things.
How it works:
-- 1). Sign up on the thread and post your number (aka, first person says 1, second 2, etc...).
-- 2). If you are willing to sign up for more than one trade just ask for two numbers.
-- 3). In the case of a user without a trade that person will be on hold if in case of late sign up, or they can request additional trade within reason, but most likely they will wait for the next trade. Sorry.
I will not setup the rules for this trade but I will be more than happy to do the random trades and moderate any questions that may arise. My best piece of advice to you guys is to work with rules provided above and start a new thread with the official trading rules and sign up.
