 I searched it first and didn't come up with any results! Any information would be much obliged.

It's used to look at your tank from the water surface without distortion. The way light reflects and how corals flouresce changes dramatically when looking top down. Great way to take pics too! It's basically like putting a diver's mask on and sticking your head in the tank...without the funky headgear and funny looks from friends.

It's a acrylic box that floats on top of your water for your viewing pleasure...;) it's like looking threw the front glass but on top the colors are way more extreme and clams look there best this way...

That's exactly how i explained it to my friend and still didnt get it entirely...hoping to actually being able to show him in the future :wink:LOL

:) Only has to be 50 CHARACTERS. I really didn't know though, so thanks for the explanation! I know exactly what you are talking about. When I was checking out LFS 2 weeks ago I noticed a big difference in how the coral in frag tanks looked if I was looking at them from above vs. through the front.

Very cool. So it seems like most vendors take photos of their corals this way?

I use a porthole from Avast to take pictures through , but then I also built a small square one for quick viewing from top down. Much cooler view from the top :)
