What Is Best To Feed?

What is the best thing for me to feed my Anemone? How many mysis cubes should I be feeding? Ive been feeding it mysis shrimp but I would much rather feed it something I could prepare thats a larger food for it to eat.

look up reef frenzy foods by larrys reef service he is local to my state and has some really good products out i think you would benefit from feeding your fish and nem

i feed my anemonies and corals a blinded mix f Talapia, silversides, squid, shrimp and krill. i freez a big batch in tiny cube trays and put them in a bag for feeding later.

How big of a piece of silversides, squid, shrimp or krill do you feed? dont wanna overfeed my anemone to where it spits the food it doesnt wont in the tank and cause all kinds of problems.

I personally don't like feeding silversides. I tried a couple of times and my nem never ate it. Also, I have read several accounts of anemones dying after eating silversides. It may have just been pure coincidence, but I do not want to take any chances. I feed clam, squid, shrimp, and various frozen fish foods to my nem.

Nope never said what kind of anemone it was. Not sure of the proper name but I will find out for you. Ill have to go back and find the paperwork that I printed out about it. Ill let you know!

I stopped using silversides about 7 years ago when I lost an H. malu after feeding it one, not the only experienced anemone keeper to lose an anemone to using them. Now I use frozen krill when I feed, though I haven't directly fed any of my anemones ( LTA, BTA, and S. haddoni ) in over 6 months.

mine seem to like Formula 1. I target feed my bigger ones (6"+) 1/6 of the cube and the smaller ones 1/12 of the cube. for all my BTA's, I feed 2 cubes 2-4x/week, depending on how much time I have that week. I also feed my fishes a combination of mysis, brine, chopped clams, and krill every day and I'm pretty sure the BTA's catch some too.
