What is better for grow out tanks???

I was curious what people like to use to grow out their corals. Currently I'm using a 40 gallon frag, but I was wondering if it would be better to use a larger, deeper tank? Or does it even matter?

Currently I'm using a 6x54 watt t5 fixture. Growing euphyllia and trying to start some sps (monties at first the some acros)

If you go shallow I would stick to lps or acro flow would destroy the lps. I would do acro for a grow out that's where all the money is that if you plan on doing any frag sales.

Planning on getting a 60g frag grow out tank for acros. Going to grow larger pieces and put frags in my DT.
