What would you consider stable when it comes to params, like how much variance is considered stable.

My temp moves less than 1 degree.
My alk I test at the same time of day and that is 0.1 in a few days.
But there could be outliers every so often.

Mag barely moves at all. Calcium I don't worry to much. It moves less than alk. I test every couple weeks for calcium and once a month for mag.

Mg cannot move by much as it is very high to start with and very little is consumed.

If you're seeing movements between tests it is simply test error.

The only chemical parameters that really matter are Salinity (as everything moves with it) and Alkalinity which is the most volatile.

My Alk stays within 0.2 dKh with automated measurement and dosing.

Ca and Mg I measure once a month and barely move.

If you keep those two stable coral growth will take off

I consider parameters stable when I see the same trends everyday for a week. Your tank will usually tell you how much you can deviate from your target.
