What is eating my mushrooms!?!

I keep finding mushrooms laying in the sand or just gone. Ever since I added sally light foot crab and yellow tang?

Have you checked under the frag or looked at night for the usual mushroom eating suspects?

I haven't moved the rock. The only thing I ever see up there is hermit crabs.

Could this be peppermint shrimp??

worm most probably, pep shrimps also get munchy but discos drop off rock too. i use a panty hose with small shrimp piece in it overnight, bristles get caught in it. you might be surprised.

use a small led or pen light after dark when room is black. worms come out after sunset. pen light w red film over it works real good, doesnt scare them back into hole like regular light i find

I would probably suspect the crab. If the mushrooms are new to the tank they may be detaching secondary to over illumination.

No the mushrooms have been there for at least a month

A month is about when mine bail out to a lower level in the tank.
Only the 3 Yuma's like the top of my tank.

My lighting is weak, not for Acropora.

Check for flatworms. In my experience the love mushrooms, Xenia and most soft corals. If you discover flatworms I've had great success eliminating them with yellow coris wrasse and melanurus wrasse. Flatworm exit also works well.
