What is going on... How do I get rid of

My sandbed looks like garbage and idk what to do or how to get rid of it?!

What's the water parameters that'll help us help you. Also I'd be looking at flow over sandbed and probably do a 3 day blackout of tank to help get it under control. More information on water, flow, lighting and filtration will be helpful.

Like stated above, need more info regarding the whole system and numbers.

To me it looks like light is on way too long and lack of flow. But again, as the previous 2 pointed out....need to know more about your configuration

Can you answer those questions stated above give us a reading for

Alk
Phosphates
Nitrates
Calcium
Magnesium

Also the length of time lights are on and pictures of how the powerheads are setup and what type.


It also looks like you run a shallow sandbed... do you clean this during water changes? How much do you feed?

Lol. I can't believe I forgot about Rodi water. It does look like diatoms so there could be a chance that the silicate levels in the tank are high

Right I didn't think of the ro/di myself. That's a very important question.
