What is going on with my mushroom?

Hey guys,

I recently moved my mushroom to a new spot that is similar in flow and light… but it’s been behaving odd and moved towards the bottom of the frag.
Before it was really large and open like an umbrella… and after repositioning it, it remained fairly contracted.

Today it looks like this… Any advice? I don’t want to fiddle with it too much… but if you all think that it might be a positioning issue I’ll move it again.

I also have a secondary question: I’ll be away for three weeks and my husband will tend to my tanks while I’m away leaving him with a full bundle of instructions Can I pre-mix my salt water for the water changes? Trying to make things as easy for him as i possibly can

It was doing something really weird… It confused me too what was in/out/up or down. Now it looks like this. This is how it looks since I moved it

It looks like it's moving to a more desirable location. I don't have my camera handy, but I have about a half dozen ricordea mushrooms scattered along one side of a rock face (they do occasionally change position).

Ha! I didn’t know they also moved position. I wasn’t really sure if he was off center on the plug to start with… but if they move it makes sense why he is hanging there. Thx!

They can move quite a bit if they feel inspired!
