Okay, this one REALLY has me scratching my head.

I've been using the Jebao DCP-8000 as my return pump for awhile now.
I remember back when I first got it, it stopped working ONCE (ER01)... I checked it, powercycled, and everything has been fine since... Until 2 days ago.

2 days ago, I get home from work, realize my return pump has stopped -- ER01. I figure the thing needs cleaning, but the past few days have been CRAZY, decide I'll clean it on the weekend, powercycled it, good to go again.

Yesterday, I get home from work, again, return pump has stopped -- ER01. Hmm, that's strange, must be really dirty... (but I still don't do anything about it, powercycle, good to go again).

Today, I get home from work, AGAIN, return pump has stopped working -- ER01..... powercycle it, starts working again (I'm taking it apart tonight).

Then... I look on the Temperature log for the past few days on Apex Fusion. It's pretty obvious what time the pump has stopped working, because you can start to see the DT temp drop (I have the temperature probe in the DT).

..... the dang pump is failing AT THE SAME TIME EVERY SINGLE DAY.... (Around 1pm) The pump is plugged into the apex (it's an Apex Jr.)... It has been that way since installation. I haven't changed any Apex programming lately. That outlet is meant to run 24/7. I only turn it off during maintenance, etc.

...Does anyone have the slightest clue what could be causing this? I'm at a loss...

What code do you have on the outlet the pump is plugged into?

Can you move it to another outlet (off the apex) and monitor?

this is the code for that outlet:

Fallback ON
Set ON

It's worked this way for almost a year.

I'll be cleaning it tonight I think (I'm overdue anyway), so I won't be able to say for sure what the cause is, if it's fixed, once I move it to another outlet.

But It's really a very weird scenario.

ER01 is 'Abnormal working current' .... I would assume is an Overcurrent situation... (which could definitely be caused by a dirty pump running at a higher load)...

But for it to happen at the same time every day is quite strange... Only thing I can think of is the pump IS dirty, and running very close to the Overcurrent threshhold... Something happens inside the Apex (or somewhere along the circuit) at nearly the same time every day which pushes it past the threshhold.

Grasping at straws
