What is growing amongst my clove polyps?

It is hard. Not a mushroom. Mushrooms are not hard.

it almost looks like some kind of brain or tooth coral type thing, with the mouth, teeth and stuff. I've never seen a baby one, though, so can't be certain.

my first guess was chalice, which is why i asked if it was hard, but upon inspection of the second pic, i saw the mouth, teeth and tentacles circling the mouth. hmmm...

Some sort of LPS. Maybe a tiny cynaria or something, keep an eye on it.

What does it look like at night, with the feeding tentacles open....are they short or is there a long sweeper present?
