Can anyone tell me what this white stuff is growing around my Zoa's. One of them is refusing to open up now, can it be some type of sponge I can scrape off?
That would be my guess. A lot of sponges will die if they are exposed to air, but some won't. If you can, remove the frag and then try to peel the sponge off with tweezers.

Sea sponges can only survive in saltwater, so if you put them in freshwater, they will quickly die. They are also very sensitive to air and do not like to be taken out of the water because their pores get filled with air. If too many of their pores are filled with air, they will die.
