What is growing in my torch?

Saw this feather duster looking thing poking out of my torch today. Any ideas?

That be a barnacle, some say its ok to leave it, some say it no good

Thanks. With the torch contracted it does look like a barnacle. I’ll leave it but keep an eye on it.

I have a barnacle on one of my torches with no issues for 2 years. Looks the same as yours. Should be fine.
