What is growing on my elegance coral!

Hi all! I’ve had this elegance coral for over 2 years now. When I bought it, it was about the size of a half dollar coin. Now it’s about 9x9.

Why is my elegance coral growing another thing of tentacles right there. Is this a baby or possibly stress?

Also, I redid my aquascape which is why my rock is white. I cycled the rock in a garbage can for about a month and I’m using aqua vitro seed to help the bacteria handle the bio load of all my corals. Parameters are as follows

Definitely part of the coral. Are you sure it's attached and didn't get torn off and stuck between coral and glass?

Yes, just poked it. Why tf did it decide to grow like that? Is it mad or something

I couldn't say. It's an anomaly. Why do people get skin tags from time to time? The coral looks healthy regardless. I wouldn't worry.

My best guess is that a slight injury occurred there at some point and in the repair process, this happened.

Yup, I bet that's your answer. The healing went a little awry being close to the tentacles already.

I’d buy that answer. It got pretty beat up by the Yuma and I was sure I was going to lose it but it ended up healing super fast. I can’t find a picture of the initial injury but it was pretty grim.

I use to feed it once every few days. I’d give it bay shrimp. Once it got bigger I stopped feeding it as often. Now I feed it once every 2-3 months to keep it happy.

It’s definitely my indicator of how my tank is doing. When it’s upset I know something is wrong.
