What is growing on my rock?

Started with Marco dry rock and have added corals and caulerpa from my LFS. What are the small green sprouts on my rock? Is it more caulerpa?

What kind of caulerpa did you add to the tank? I try to avoid it because of aggressive growth issues. Is it in the tank or in a refugium?

It’s the mini kind of caulerpa. And it’s in the display

I have not dealt with that specific C., but I did find an interesting thread here on it.

I live in California and I worked in the office that dealt with an invasion in a local lagoon in San Diego. I would encourage everyone who has any species of Caulerpa to be extremely cautious when disposing of sand, rocks, water, and the plant materials from their tanks. I don't care that people have this, but it really has potential to ruin local marine environments if it is not native to your local ocean, (if you have one ). P
