What is growing on my rock?

lol that really made me chuckle. I developed an intolerance to alcohol in my early 20s so luckily (also not so lucky at the same time lol) this should never happen to me
Yeah, I rarely drink these days myself. Maybe a few times a year, if that. Fortunately, I'm beyond the bar fly stage of my life and am quite content to relax at home with a joint.

I can't be sure, but I think it's trying to seduce him.

Haven't tried pulling it yet, but it didn't have any intention of popping off the rock when I ran large tongs through it.. seems pretty stuck/rooted to me..

A Google does show some similarities! I was wondering about Cladophora also mayhaps.

Black beard algae perhaps?

I was heading that route also but images around the web seemed not quite the same, unless the early stage here is a little more firm..

Just not sure if I want to let it live on, for identification or if it's fine algae I should not be concerned with spreading etc.

I'll keep an eye on it! ;)

Wife at 10:30, "Why you looking at that rock funny?" :flushed-face:
