What is growing on my zoa?

This has slowing been growing over the last couple weeks. I have done a freshwater dip to no result.

Sponge and Bryozoan

So cut the zoos off the rock?

The sponge should be fine but bryozoan, depending on the type, can be invasive and take over.

How can i tell the difference?

The wispy looking filaments are bryozoan. It may be hard for you to remove only the bryozoan. So, if your planning on removing the bryozoan I would just clean everything off it. Please be careful though. While cleaning it I would recommend wearing gloves and cleaning any surface the zoas came in contact with following the cleaning.
