What is growing on this old dead coral

Today I noticed these little things growing on what I thought to be dead coral can anybody please let me know what this is

Corals not dead. Those are polyps.

I am very new to this addiction so I don't know a lot about all this I bought the tank already set up and running

Hmm, seems to be some sort of encrusting coral. Looks like it has a skeletal structure otherwise thought it might be some sort of leather. It’s def alive.

Thankyou I was about to take the brush to it when I do my water change deff will leave it alone and let grow ill post more photos when it fills out more thanks again
