What is growing on Zoa frag?

Does anyone know what this is growing from my zoa frag? I didn't notice it until a few days ago. I dip all corals before they go in tank.

How do I get rid of it?

Aiptasia - I had one growing on a frag. I removed the frag and glued over it. You'll want to get rid of it ASAP before you have a bunch.

Aiptasia pest anemone. Looks like there are a couple on that frag.

The aiptasia will retract when you take the frag out of the tank, so it can be hard to see exactly where it is, but you can put super glue directly on it to prevent spreading.

So I took frag out and glued around entire bottom areas as there was still some aiptasia trying to creep out. So far so good.

Will the zoas grow over the glue? The colony is attached to a small piece of rock that is attached to plug. Could I remove frag plug, and just glue rock to rock and remove glue?

Didn't know if there were any other options. Not a fan of the glue look but don't want it spreading.

you can peel the glue off after a couple of weeks. It should have smothered the anemones and you have no more glue. It's easy to get CA glue off.

Next time, you can also try squirting some acid into its mouth (vinegar or lemon juice) or kalkwasser into it for a non-gluey way.

Ha! No I didn't. I would glue then stick back in water for a few minutes. Would see a tentacle creeping out and glued until there were no more.
