Oh okay cool thank youWell, it's not SPS... it's Caulerpa racemosa. Macroalgae.
If you can take the rock out and scrub it down well I would recommend it. You can place the algae in your sump for nutrient export. Just thin out as it grows.Awesome i may try that, but just curious, what will it do if i left it and it took over the tank as you say? Will it kill anything or deplete certain nutrients or what will it cause or do?I'd remove ASAP as it can really take over a tank quick! If you can take the rock out and scrub it down well I would recommend it. It will shade and irritate corals. Once it gets a foot hold, it's near impossible to get under control as any little bit of tissue will regrow a new plant.Awesome i may try that, but just curious, what will it do if i left it and it took over the tank as you say? If you keep an ultra low nutrient level, you might be able to keep it in check, but it can be a serious problem if not as it grows very very quickly.
Okay cool thank you very muchIt can irritate them if it grows in dense around them, but most nems should be ok since they are big and thick skinned.
Unless you want a algae farm get rid of it. If you have a sump, put it in there and trim every month to export No3&Po4.Awesome i may try that, but just curious, what will it do if i left it and it took over the tank as you say?
