What is happening to my Acan????

Can anyone let me know what this little guy might be doing? A few on them seem to be fusing into each other.

That’s how they grow. New polyps appear from the foot of another and the skeleton develops beneath. Here’s one of mine that grew in from two polyps. You can see the new growth coming in.
