What is happening to my bta

It was happy most of the day but has retracted and seems to have a weird outer sheath. If I had to guess it’s shedding but I’ve never heard of that

danged weird things like this for 2 hrs then lights out and back to being normal

Anemones are weird. Sometimes they're like Heath Ledgers Joker, they "just do things". What you're seeing is common though. I wouldn't worry about it at all. The "outer sheath" as you called it is just it's foot. They retract inside themselves for different reasons.

Mine randomly closes up and sucks back under his rock sometimes. It’ll shrivel up right before pooping too. I’ve kinda learned that his different “looks” mean he’s gonna do different thungs. Pooping, purging water, going in his hole for whatever reason all have a certain way he changes before hand.
