What is happening to my nem - pls help!

Calling all nemsperts - perfectly normal looking RBTA been in my tank a month or so. 2 days ago started walking but I corraled him into a floating basket all yesterday which ROYALLY ticked him off. Last night I tried placing him on a high rock and he latched on immediately. I fed him a small piece of krill which he ate quickly. All good today, looking beautiful when I got home then I cooked supper and 30 minutes later this - he's thrown up all his guts and looks like a giant gaping stab wound in the center???! Splitting??? Dying???

Pooping maybe? I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but my maxi mini will occasionally have it's mouth wide open for 15-20 minutes after pooping.

pooping likely but assure too that it is fed periodically and receiving moderate water flow and medium lighting
