I don't know what the deal is with my torch. My other LPs are doing well. (about 40 head Hammer & FrogSpawn)

Below are the before and after pics over the last couple weeks.

Looks like brown jelly covered all over.. no ?
Take a baster and baste it, see if that comes off... Or point a power head at it... If all that flies off its brown jelly and if its covered that much i would say its done...

Faster u toss it out the better you'll be I had this happen to mu white frogspawn I tryed to save it but lost it anyways and a few acans and a awesome pink hammer . So if I where you toss it out better for your lps

Does not look like brown jelly to me. It looks like the polyp has gone nuts but to jelly. If you shoot water current on it if jelly it will float off.

It isn't brown Jelly. I thought that too. But when I blow my badter on it, it doesn't blow anything off. The polyps have slowly been shrinking, until we got to this point.
Should I get it out and count it as a loss? And hope it isnt something that could infect others.

I think something with your water, current or lighting is not to its liking. What are your perimeters? If all that is in check how did you acclimate it to water and lighting?

I will be checking perameters when I get home, but I have had him in the tank about 9 months with no issue.

I know sometimes when they are creating a new head or branch they can get weird like that. My frogspawn gets a huge bubble in it , so big that it makes the tentacles looks short and stubby like in your pic, once the new head is created it goes back to normal.

Ive also seen some torches get like that if you put any kind of buffer directly on top of them , Have you dosed any kind of buffer or Part B of C balance or Bionic, in your tank lately? Maybe you accidentally dropped some on your torch

I doubt its anything in your water such as parameters, since youve had the torch for a while now and its always been fine like you say, and the rest of the Lps are doing fine.

Is it still eating ? After I saw this on a big screen it dose look to be growing new heads possibly

I don't know. I am home and will try feeding him.
And thanks for the help all. This is the first coral I bought. When I went from FOWLR to reef.

I haven't target fed him in a while. And was surprised just a moment ago. He gobbled up the Reef Frenzy. I hope that is a good sign.

I don't know where I would pick up and copper. I use RODI, and don't add many additives. Just Kalkwasser and iodine.
If it is copper poisoning, any clue how I would get it?

Have you ever used medication in this tank?

What is the current KH, Calcium, and Salinity?
