My clown fish is doing something weird to my hammer coral is he eating it

Building a relationship with the hammer. If the hammer doesn't like the fish. It could die from the stress of the clowns.

Basically the clown is saying " host me" and the hammer isn't so sure about that.

Looks like your clown is considering it as a potential host. Mine behave similarly to my duncan, mouthing it but never actually biting it.

Just keep an eye on the hammer. If it stops opening up, you may have to take action. I can't say the best choice for that. But for now, enjoy the fun! My clowns love the algae scrubber and overflow box. ;Bucktooth
