What is hiding my my coral?

Hi all,

I have a white and red stripped thing hiding in my coral. It appears to either have several arms or is a few of then all together. I got a tree coral and it must have come along with it and grown over the past 3 months. I tried to pull it out with tweezers but each one just came off.

The arms come out when I feed the tank, I thought it might be a bristle star but it doesn’t appear to come out at night?

Any ideas what it is in the attached photo?

Great thanks all, I feel a bit bad that one of their arms came off when I tried to pull it out to see what it was.
