What is in my skimmer????

Saw I saw this in my skimmer today?
What the heck is this? And how did it get in my skimmer body?

Looks like fine sand

It’s chunks

I don’t get it?
How would chucks get through the pump?

Went through as individual particles. Sunk to the bottom and settled out.

But it looks like a rock?
Guess I’ll take apart and see
