What is invading my tank?!

Hey guys,

All of the sudden there is one on the glass. I go to inspect further and see more floating around and "growing" on the back wall. Really hard to get a pic, I did my best below.
They are small and round with like tentacles? They almost look like the tree seeds in Avatar!

What's going on??

I'm pretty sure they are hydroids. How old is your tank?

It's only a month and half. Where would they have come from? I put in a fish, a GSP, and a Xenia about a week ago and everyone is healthy and happy.
 
They are not the digitate hydroids, these little guys are harmless. They will clear up on their own shortly, no need to worry. Just one of the many things that happens with new systems, just like diatoms, bacterial blooms, pod population explosions, etc.

This didn't happen in my last tank so I was stumped
