What kind of algae is this? Tank is about 3 months old. My PBT eats at some of it and I want to get rid of it. It used to be all over most of the sand, but I pulled that out. I reduced my feeding from twice a day to once over a week ago and no change.

Can’t tell what kind of algae it is from your pictures but it’s just part of new tank uglies, keep up with tank maintenance and it should pass in time. for what it’s worth your temperature is really low, I would bump it up to 77-78 deg

Agree with retro. Keep feeding your fish every day too.

Thanks, I bumped up the temp. Any thoughts on what might eat the algae?

Diatoms on surface( add water flow to tank and blow off surfaces with a turkey baster). . . . . and Low temp- get it to 77-78 deg and bring salinity to 1.025
