Just noticed this grows out on my rock. I researched online and still have no clue...
First time saw this in my tank after 5 yrs...I pick it out and put it on my dragon breath to take pic easier.

Wow! That's pretty neat looking. Is it soft and pliable or does it have a skeleton? My first guess, seeing what I believe is openings in the ends, is a sponge.

It's open at the tip. It feel firm, I guess no skeleton. I am sure if it's some kind of sponge

Looks like a Red macro. Galaxaura sp. They are slitly calcified...probably why the tag avoids it.

It look exactly alike...online sells it, I assume it's a reef friendly....
