Sorry no pic as the position is difficult without moving rock.
I recently found a pinkish head poking out from under a rock with what looks like tentacles around the top.
Bobbit worm or some kind of anemone?

Can't confirm absent a pic.

I have a eunicid in a rock with an octospawn and an RFA. JUST now removed and injected warm distilled water into the rock for about 10 min. Eunicid stayed put, bu really ticked off the octo and the RFA...

I can remove the Hammer.
I'll have to. Pretty sure it's 2x bobbits under the same rock.
Large round head with what look like tentacles around it. It does retract very quick .

Could be any of a number of other Eunice worms. Mine so far just pick at the live rock (I have 2 that I know of), but they are small and perhaps will upgrade their menu when they get larger...

After this dismal fail, I'm going to try a trap and see if that gets it (https://www.coralreefmagazine.com/how-to-build-yourself-a-trap-for-the-infamous-oenone-fulgida/), or just a regular bottle trap.

I've read that shooting club soda in their hole works well, too (but verify!).

i made a bottle trap and managed to catch my fairy wrasse. Make it a big bottle incase a fish goes in.

Did the photo not attach?
Seems not. I'm having trouble attaching pics

It looks like there are too many "tentacles" to be a Eunice worm. A Eunice worm will have 5 tentacles and if I'm seeing the picture correctly there are considerably more than 5.

that dont looks like bobbit to me.

over 3 years, i got the worm 3 times, first time i got 8", 2nd time i got 15". final time i remove the rock get it out completely, about 36".

ok side note, if you dont get the whole worm, it will grow back.

If you take the rock out, club soda definitely works to flush them out!

That said, club soda in anybody’s hole would have a tendency to move them on….
