Is this a shell less snail, or a slug.

It is nocturnal, it is black, looks like a homeless snail. Sorry for picture quality, it only comes out at night when tank dark. I used camera flash on one pic. It does kind of have a carapace on it, near top portion, but not really a shell. It has been alive for a week came with live rock.

Still could be a Black Stomatella. :p

Scutus, aka Elephant snail, a cool invert, jury is still out on how reef safe they are.

It could be a Black Stomatella but I that is not my first guess.

I looked both up, that pic I have not very good. But it is definitely a Black Stomatella, looks just like all the pictures I could find. Thanks for the help :-)

Sorry to be tagging on this thread can anyone tell me what time of slug or snail this is in my tank?

Yeah that is a Chiton, reef safe, algae eater. Returns to the same spot each day, via a pheromone trail.
