Yup, its an Anemone, but not one you want to keep. Aiptasia, its gotta go.
 
What about tweezers? Lol

No... If you don't get all of it then any tissue left behind will most likely grow back again. Even small pieces left to float around the tank and settle will regenerate if I'm not mistaken.
It's definitely a bit of a sticky wicket with these things. GL.
 
Any means of sudden stress, like tweezers, will make it spawn spores. I had a carpet anemone run over some aiptasia and one week later, babys everywhere!
 
Agree with tweezers not working. Have to get all of it or you will wish you had left it alone.

Looks like I'll be having baby's then. I just poked it and he sucked inside the rock but I burned the other one so only time will tell. I would get a peppermint shrimp but my tanks not done cycling yet and it might die. Sooo idk if that's a good idea or not
