Saw this coming out of the rock and wanted to find out more about it. This is my first coral in this tank and I am still new to reefs.

Aptasia, have you noticed it anywhere else in the tank? Best bet is if you can remove the rock piece, scrape off as much as you can, and then use super glue or epoxy over the spot where it was. It's a pest anemone that can take over a tank quickly if not contained and taken care of.

That may or may not work. Pull it out and put a big glob of super glue GEL over it. Sometimes peppermint shrimp will eat the aphasia sometimes they won't. Super glue gel encasing it will work 100% of the time.

Beware of Peppermint's. I had two in my 14g and they took care of the Aptasia. THEN they took out BOTH of my Acans. Banished from the system FOREVER!
