I noticed something is growing on my favia on the left side of my rack. It started out pretty small, but it is growing. Hopefully that is a good sign. Wanted your opinion. Should I just leave it alone or should I tear them off?

lol, woops.

Yeah, it looks like HA to me as well. You might want to look into Hydrogen Peroxide dips as a way of killing off that algae growth.

+1 Doesn't look like the coral is growing, rather the hair algae is. I would definitely remove it. Also looks like you've got some on rock on left side of pic. Probably want to check water parameters, etc. to control.

Yep, can be tough stuff so grab it low; some reefers use a soft toothbrush as well. And, do check parameters, etc. GHA has spoiled many tanks.

Would turbo snails help with the algae?
And what parameters should I be checking for algae?
Yeah, turbos would be a good choice. Nitrate and phosphate are important to test and, of course, alk, calcium, magnesium, salinity.
If your CUC isn't satisfactory, consider that some reefers swear by Flucanazole for large scale outbreaks and use peroxide for spot treatments. I would remove the plug and use a solution of 1-2 ml of hydrogen peroxide carefully placed on the base of the algae. And then rinse your plug well.
