I agree sea spider. I would remove it. sea spiders can damage corals like soft corals, and sea anemones.

It is possibly a brittle star. I have several in my tank. They are good cleaners.
The 'let's on a brittle star is normally more curve though.

The eight legs is a sure clue. I've never seen one.

Definitely not a brittle star. Also to the OP, looks like you possibly have a pyramid snail in the bottom left of the photo.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking some type of sea spider. There were actually several of them in the bottom of the cup after I dipped along with misc. other stuff. Just wasn’t sure if they would cause any harm. The one I took the pic of was the largest maybe the size of an eraser.

I found my sea spider thanks to dipping too, way to go. always a good idea to dip!

I dipped twice didn’t want to get to crazy with it but didn’t see anything alarming the second time.

Sea spiders are resistant to any kind of coral dip except Interseptor who work great for killing sea spiders.
