That is a sponge. Beneficial and shows your tank is on the right track. I would be more concenrned about The stuff behind and around it. That’s Aiptasia and can be harmful to corals and inverts.

Thanks! The yellow sponge is a plant or just a stuff without life? Yes, so much Aiptasia in my tank. 3 days ago I placed 4 peppermint shrimps in it, but till now they haven’t started their work yet...

A sponge is a colony of microscopic animals. I’m jealous lol. All I get are pineapple sponges

Those aiptasia are too big for most peppermints. They usually nab the little ones. You should check out either a matted file fish or better yet Berghia Nudibrach.
Berghia will definitely work. The file fish is not a guarantee but a lot less expensive.

Yes, the Aiptasia is big. I will consider matted file fish if no improvement. Will the file fish will assault other fishes?

I would look into like a 3000watt Laser. That’s a whole mess of aiptasia lol.

I would also be very concerned for this fish.... @HotRocks @Humblefish @4FordFamily

Yes that’s some serious HLLE.

I’d rinse any carbon you use very well, add selcon and zoecon to its foods, feed it lots of nori and frozen green fish food, and vary it’s diet a lot.

That will worsen to a very bad level quickly. That appears to be a young/small hippo tang, and that’s advanced HLLE.

Thank you so much. I have few experiences about it. I googled the symptom you mentioned. I will do so as your instructions.

No problem, catch it early and it may heal nearly entirely :)

+1 not much to add.

HLLE is a pain in the butt. I wonder how much the fish suffers with it... Nori nori nori, every day every time!

I guess we all went sideways from the original meaning of this thread, lol
