Was looking and noticed new growth with in my tank. Any one know what it could be. It’s the white stuff on the rocks.

ahhhh yeah I see it's a growth. not bare rock
yeah. it's a sponge. never seen once so white b4. prob a bleached out sponge
leave it be unless it encroaches a coral. sponges are good and a great sign of good water quality

Are they tubes that stick out of the rock like mini feather dusters (without the feather?)
If so they are likely vermetids. Many considerbthem pests but i generally ignore them other than breaking a few of the big ones off from time to time. LOTS of threads to be found here, about people's experiences. GL!
Edit: im looking at the tiny white stuff... were you referring to the red?

Thanks all, no sea urchins. And I was talking about the white stuff lol I’ll look more into it
