Hi everyone,

First time Saltwater tank here.

Got some clownfish ( wild caught i think ) 4 days ago. ( 1 week prior to that the CUC went in, and 4weeks before that the natural Seawater went in )

the larger of the 2 is doing this whereas the smaller is swimming around normally. ( both are eating fine )

Is the Clown hosting the rock/cave? they appear to have moved away from the bottom tank corner.

but as I'm new to the saltwater side of fish keeping ( used to run a Cichlid tank for years ) I'm not sure if this is normal or i should be concerned.

Water Parameters are
Ph: 8.0
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 2.0
Salinity 1.023

let me know if you guys think i should be concerned or if he's just being normal.

any help or advice would be appreciated.

Is there supposed to be a picture/video? I see nothing. They sometimes don't work.

Yep it's not allowing me to upload a video, I'll try again later on.

That doesn't seem concerning to me, just a clown being a clown. As long as no visible scars or anything and it's eating and not breathing heavily I would not worry. Mine does something similar but usually it's so she can ambush amphipods...

Ok that's relieving, except tonight when I gave mysis shrimp everyone in the tank ate except him he just wasn't interested. Other tank mates are
1x valentini puffer
1x bi colour blenny
1x coral beauty

He seems to be more active when the night lights are on. And tends to hide/stay in his cave when normal lights are on. And only comes out for a quick stroll around the tank then heads back. He certainly doesnt greet me like the others do.

I did notice some stringy clear/white poop tonight as well.

Have sent the video to the LFS of him not eating and what I would say is a bit of heavy breathing. But I'm just not sure.

Update, the little guy isn't eating and now doing this. So yep I'm now concerned. The LFS has recommended i try Reef Safe Medic for the tank. and try Bloodworms for feeding. and if he doesn't feed in a day start a freshwater bath for her.

That looks much worse. I don't know how to treat it because I don't really know what's happening but hopefully someone smarter than me does. Maybe it is some kind of flukes. The FW bath would help in that case but not necessarily cure them especially gill flukes. You might need prazi which is mostly reef safe (looks like a fish only from the video?) minus hurting worms like feather dusters and bristleworms.
