What is my Tail Spot Blenny doing here? Making a burrow?

I have had him since 2/19 and I have never seen him do this.

I just yesterday did a rip clean of my 13 gallon tank, including rinsing the sand and rearranging my scape and now the little feller is doing this.

Is he making a burrow? I didn't know they did that. I thought they just hid in rocks.

They will sometimes do that though not as prevalent as sleeper and sand sifting Gobies. Do you know if you have a Pistol Shrimp in the tank?

I do not have a pistol shrimp. Just a skunk cleaner.

they dont burrow but rather perch. Looks like he found a nice property in the tank and is cleaning out the area

I have a tail spot blenny that burrows and has little caves all around the tank. He shovels sand and spits it out like a goby, kind of weird but he seems happy
