What is on my candy cane stalk?

Can anyone ID what has appeared on my candy cane stalk? I’ve had it for 6 weeks and it was dipped in Red Sea DipX before putting in my tank. i noticed something on the stalk for the first time about a week ago. Candy cane appears to be otherwise fine. Thanks

Is it hard? Looks a little like a Vermatid snail to me. If so you can just snap it off. If it’s soft it would be something else.

Yes it’s hard. The consensus is it’s a Vermatid snail so now I have to choose which method to use to combat it Thanks for your help

Just smash it with some tweezers and you’ll be good. It might grow back but you can just smash it again. The slime they put out can irritate corals.
