What is on my Emerald crab?

My 3 and 5 year old just told me he has gotten old and just has grey hair now like daddy! Haha. He was completely clean when I bought him 8 months ago

I agree, looks like he has a colony of hydroids growing on him

they will come off when he molts. Than he will bald and really old like grandpa.
