Had him about a week, thought i saw somthing a day or two after I put them in, but it appears to be growing. My quarantine wont be set up for a couple more weeks. If it is flukes, do you think a freshwater dip would help?

Fw dip will help with flukes but I am almost certain this something other than flukes.

Freshwater dips can really stress fish out. You're just kind of hoping the parasite or whatever hops off in its own, but some of them can be pretty stubborn. I can't say that I've tried using it, but I had the opprotunity to talk to the people from Ruby Reef this weekend. They make a reef-safe product called Rally that can be used to treat a bunch of different parasites including flukes. Definitely give it a look.

Definitely looks more like worms to me than flukes. Flukes in my experience tend to look more like bumps and usually you can't see a long body like in your pics.

Haven't used it before, but I intend to use it moving forward. That you do a dip in a separate container. Do not add it to your tank.

That's Crustaceamorpha. An internal Isopod/Copepod. They like firefish. Try a 5 minute fresh water dip to see if it dislodges. The fish may freak during the dip so keep an eye on it. Otherwise we'll wait for either Humblefish or Melypr1985.

Seems pretty straightforward of what I have to do now. Thanks to everybody for all your suggestions. I will keep you guys posted on how it goes

I agree with the manual removal. We've seen these several times in the last year or so, always on firefish. A freshwater dip won't hurt the fish and may dislodge it, but there really aren't any guarantees of that with this type of parasite.
