I seen this tonight it was stuck to my green nepthia I knocked it off and tried to catch it with my bet but I wasn't quick enough. It just floated around until it went into a crevice in my rock. Wish I could have gotten a better pic. Didn't move or anything.

I don't know if my nepthea had ahold of it or vice versa

It looks like a nudibranch and if it was on your leather, it was likely eating it. There are MANY different types of nudibranchs but they are all very specific eaters and are usually found around their food source. I believe what you have is a nudibranch and would manually remove it and inspect closely for more. If it's possible to remove the coral from the tank, I would do a fresh water dip and see if anything else falls off.

Real tough to tell from that pic...nudi is a possibility. Was there any damage to the coral where it was on the coral?

I meant to add that to my post last night... and I wasn't even entirely sure that I'm looking at the right thing in the pic. What I'm seeing actually kinda looks like a pineapple sponge.
Anyhow, I hope it's not a nudi or any other type of pest.

The sponge sounds more like it. It wasn't moving at all and when I knocked it off. It floated around my tank because of my power heads.

That looked brown in color to me, pineapple sponges are yellow & are sessile invertebrates

I'm wondering if you may have pineapple sponges confused with a different type of sponge because they are normally white and can sometimes appear tannish in color if they've become dirty. Another name they commonly go by is Q tip sponges.
