not sure about the first link, but that one looked good at least when I hit post. ;)
 
Read as much of the first post as you can and at least try the tests linked there. It's good to be pretty sure what you're dealing with.

Can you also post a current set of test results for PO4 and NO3?

When the LFS tested the water they told me the PO 4 was ok,don't know the reading,also with NO3 they used a API and the test tube was yellow they lost the measurment card.i seen some where else the reading was under 10.

Bummer...."OK" is an opinion and not too helpful in our case.

Happen to remember if the sample turned really blue or stayed mostly clear?

Sounds like you may have to pony up for your own test kits! :)

(Even if you just got new versions of the kits that the LFS used....doesn't have to be fancy when you're just starting, but you do need to save the color cards. ;))

For now, maybe just try the tests on that first post I mentioned and tell me if any of the other info there seems relevant.
